Teacher Training at Beat
Ready to deepen your practice, expand your knowledge, and immerse yourself in the study of Original Hot Yoga?
Beat is proud to offer a comprehensive Original Hot Yoga Association Teacher Training designed to fit into real life. Spanning five months, this training combines the depth and rigor of a traditional certification program with a schedule that is accessible for those balancing careers, families, and other commitments.
The training includes five in-person training weekends at Beat, along with weekly Wednesday evening Zoom sessions, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that allows concepts to be explored, practiced, and integrated over time.
This training is ideal for:
-
Students who want to deepen their understanding of the Original Hot Yoga practice
-
Practitioners seeking personal growth and transformation
-
Lifelong learners who enjoy immersing themselves in a meaningful discipline
-
Aspiring teachers who wish to confidently lead the authentic 90-minute Original Hot Yoga class
Led by Rachel Mzhickteno, founder of Beat Yoga & Pilates, and assisted by Marcia McGonagle and Nadine Viseth, this training is guided by three dedicated Original Hot Yoga teachers with decades of teaching experience. Marcia and Nadine both attended Bikram's teacher training in 2010, and Rachel attended in 2011. All three have been immersed in teaching and the Original Hot Yoga community ever since.
Together, they are committed to preserving and passing on the knowledge, integrity, and therapeutic benefits of the authentic 90-minute Original Hot Yoga class. Through posture clinics, dialogue training, anatomy, teaching methodology, and many hours of practice, trainees will develop both a deep understanding of the method and the confidence to share it with others.
This is more than a certification program. It is an opportunity to spend five months immersed in a practice that has transformed lives for generations—while becoming part of a community dedicated to learning, growth, and excellence.
Whether your goal is to teach or simply to deepen your relationship with the practice, this training will provide the knowledge, experience, and support to take you further than you thought possible.
This training includes the following hours of learning:

80 hours of yoga practice
Trainees will take approximately 54 classes throughout this 17 week training. 20hrs can be completed prior to the start of the training on December 11th.
150 hours of posture lab/Teaching skills
The greatest portion of this training will be spent diving deep into the postures and learning the necessary skills to be an effective teacher.
10 hours professional development
How do you actually begin teaching? Could you open a studio one day? Do you want to lead retreats? These are topics that we will cover throughout the professional development hours.
20 hours Anatomy and physiology
We won't just go over bones and muscles in our anatomy and physiology hours. We'll talk about your nervous system, the lymphatic system, what happens to your brain when you meditate and much more. Anatomy and physiology information will be taught in a way that ties everything back to the therapeutic benefits of this yoga practice.
